Work Plan and Status Updates

NOTICE: We are still fundraising to cover a few more final supplies and materials needed to complete the deck. The bulk of the work is finished thanks to many long hours spent by volunteers and USFS staff. Most of the demolition debris has been removed from the mountain and a solid, sunny new deck awaits spring visitors! Anyone with experience in putting up cedar shake shingling could still find there is some volunteer work to do too.

Project Summary

Shingling_left_to_do.jpg

We continue to raise funds to offset costs to replace and repair the outdoor deck at "HoJo's" located in the Hermit Lake area of Tuckerman Ravine. For decades, this outdoor deck area has been the meeting and departure point for countless adventures into Tuckerman Ravine. This hugely popular recreational meeting spot has suffered the ravages of overuse and is in major disrepair. Working in conjunction with the USFS we are improving and repairing this historic junction point so that generations to come will continue to appreciate the beauty and special adventures that emanate from this spot. Please consider helping us with the deck replacement project via a thoughtful donation
